About the building
Lloyd's Building, completed in 1986, is one of the most appreciated building by architects. Its beauty however, is paradoxical as it didn’t expect to please anyone. Ducts, lifts and emergency stairs are located on the exterior allowing for easy replacement and maintenance.
About the artist
Virginia Duran is an architect and urban planner from Madrid, Spain. Her profession as an architect and her passion for art remain inextricably entwined. As a result, her primary interest within art is space and its relationship to people.
