About the building
Exchange House (Broadgate) is one of the first projects commissioned to SOM, the superb American firm founded in Chicago. This impressive project seats atop two massive columns, the only touching points to the ground as Liverpool Street Station runs underneath. After this successful project, they were commissioned Canary Wharf's masterplan.
About the artist
Virginia Duran is an architect and urban planner from Madrid, Spain. Her profession as an architect and her passion for art remain inextricably entwined. As a result, her primary interest within art is space and its relationship to people.
