About the building
When BT Tower was completed in 1965, it was seen as a symbol of power and advance. At 190 m (623 ft) it was the tallest tower in London. Its viewing gallery was open to everyone and it cost four shillings and was half price for children. Since then, it has become an icon of London.
About the artist
Virginia Duran is an architect and urban planner from Madrid, Spain. Her profession as an architect and her passion for art remain inextricably entwined. As a result, her primary interest within art is space and its relationship to people.
