About the building
Barbican Centre, an icon of Brutalism and London, has been in charge of Barbican's cultural program since its creation in 1982. As it wasn't included in the original plan, the materials are slightly different than the rest of the complex, making it the jewel of the crown.
About the artist
Virginia Duran is an architect and urban planner from Madrid, Spain. Her profession as an architect and her passion for art remain inextricably entwined. As a result, her primary interest within art is space and its relationship to people.
