About the building
A diamond building that grows in height and sits as if it was the jewel of the crown of Canada Water. This bronzed, hexagonal library leaning across the old Surrey Commercial Docks was built in 2011 and it has already become an icon.
About the artist
Virginia Duran is an architect and urban planner from Madrid, Spain. Her profession as an architect and her passion for art remain inextricably entwined. As a result, her primary interest within art is space and its relationship to people.
