About the building

Brixton Windmill, a Grade II* listed heritage building, was constructed in 1816 and it's never been prettier. Windmills were once a familiar feature of London’s landscape; Lambeth had up to twelve sites with evidence of milling dating back to the Middle Ages. More recently, Squire & Partners have completed a new Education and Community Centre adjacent to it securing its use for future generations.
